About the Role

The Section Chief of Infectious Diseases will lead the Infectious Diseases Section in the John W. Deming Department of Medicine at Tulane School of Medicine. This is a unique opportunity to join a renowned academic institution with a rich history in infectious diseases research and impact on public health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Infectious Diseases Section
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and services to meet the needs of patients with infectious diseases
  • Oversee research initiatives and collaborations with other departments and institutions
  • Teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows in infectious diseases
  • Engage with the community to promote public health and prevent infectious diseases
Requirements
  • MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Louisiana
  • Minimum 10 years of clinical experience in Infectious Diseases
  • Academic qualifications for an Associate or Full Professor at Tulane University
