Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced dental professional to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Dental Program at Lone Star College. As a part-time instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Nitrous Oxide Monitoring courses at various times and locations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.

This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position, contingent upon student demand. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $53.82 per contact hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Nitrous Oxide Monitoring courses at various times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Plan, develop, and use a variety of teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required

Requirements:

  • Registered Dental professional (Dental Assistant or Dentist) and 3 years non-teaching work experience in the field
