Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Nitrous Oxide Monitoring courses at Lone Star College-Kingwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, promoting student involvement, and applying innovative methodologies to improve student learning outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene and a commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service, and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning.

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position, contingent upon student demand and the needs of the college.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Nitrous Oxide Monitoring courses at various times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Plan, develop, and use a variety of teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required

Requirements:

  • Registered Dental professional (Dental Assistant or Dentist) and 3 years non-teaching work experience in the field
