Role Summary

The Sales Analyst for Neighborhood Pet (NHP) is responsible for collecting and analyzing data to create reports and provide insights that support informed decision-making. This role focuses on internal and external data analysis, particularly in areas such as sales performance, trade management, data accuracy, forecasting, and overall performance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of internal and external data to support confident decision-making.
  • Provide timely and precise evaluations of new and existing products.
  • Investigate, categorize, and resolve customer deductions related to trade budgets.
  • Complete and submit forms for new item setups and promotional activities for customers.
  • Communicate specific promotional strategies to field sales teams on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Update internal and customer reports regularly in alignment with data refreshes.
  • Assist in the monthly sales forecast updates for NHP customers.
  • Communicate SKU rationalization decisions to customers and sales teams.
  • Monitor and assess performance against key sales objectives, including sales volume, distribution, and merchandising effectiveness.
  • Analyze merchandising plans and promotional ROI, including tools like Astro and Promoboxx.
  • Present insights and findings to management regularly.
  • Maintain and update external customer and consumer information, including store locators.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to forecast, evaluate, and interpret business trends.
  • Execute additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, with strong modeling skills (VBA knowledge is a plus).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with various departments and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse groups and accepting constructive feedback.
  • Well-organized with strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills to manage projects effectively.
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and achieve objectives independently and collaboratively.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Availability for overtime as required.
