Role Summary
The Sales Analyst for Neighborhood Pet is responsible for collecting and analyzing data to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. This role focuses on both internal and external data analysis, emphasizing sales performance, trade management, data accuracy, forecasting, and performance evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of sales data to inform decision-making processes.
- Provide timely evaluations of new and existing product lines.
- Investigate and categorize customer deductions, ensuring proper allocation to trade budgets.
- Manage the setup and promotional documentation for new items.
- Communicate promotional strategies to sales teams on a regular basis.
- Update internal reports in alignment with data refresh schedules.
- Assist in the monthly sales forecast updates for Neighborhood Pet customers.
- Relay SKU rationalization decisions to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and assess performance against established sales objectives.
- Analyze merchandising plans and promotional ROI metrics.
- Present findings and insights to management as required.
- Maintain and refresh external customer and consumer information.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to forecast and interpret market trends.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Excel, with advanced spreadsheet modeling skills (VBA knowledge is advantageous).
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to foster relationships across departments and with key business partners.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Effective time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Availability for overtime as required.
