Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team in Auburn, California. As a key member of our educational team, you will work closely with licensed Speech Language Pathologists to develop and implement speech therapy programs for students with speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with licensed Speech Language Pathologists to create and implement speech therapy programs that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group speech and language interventions to students, using evidence-based practices and strategies.
  • Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs, and develop individualized plans to address these needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, and communicate regularly with parents and teachers to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters social and emotional growth, as well as academic achievement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion for working with children and helping them overcome communication challenges.
