Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to assist in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist SLPs with Therapy Implementation: Collaborate with SLPs to implement individualized therapy plans, ensuring effective treatment and patient progress.
  • Conduct Therapy Sessions: Conduct therapy sessions with individuals or small groups, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor Patient Progress: Regularly monitor and document patient progress, reporting findings to supervising SLPs to inform treatment adjustments.
  • Prepare Therapy Materials: Prepare and organize materials for therapy activities and exercises, ensuring a smooth and efficient treatment process.
  • Support Patient Communication: Support patients in practicing and applying communication strategies, promoting effective communication and independence.
  • Collaborate with Families and Caregivers: Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide education and resources, ensuring a comprehensive support system for patients.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field, and state licensure or certification as an SLPA.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience: Experience in a clinical or educational setting is preferred, but not required.
