We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Weight Loss Specialist to join our team at Medi-Weightloss Winter Park. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their weight loss goals through a medically supervised approach.

Job Summary:

  • Care for patients with obesity and related health conditions
  • Conduct physical exams, complete health history summaries, document patient progress, and assist with patient care management
  • Order and review laboratory studies, diagnostic procedures, and prescribe medication as necessary
  • Provide ongoing support and education to patients on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle choices to promote weight loss and maintenance

About the Position:

This is a part-time to full-time position that requires a dynamic personality who can work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be dependable, hardworking, and possess an outstanding work ethic.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and review patient medical and psychosocial history information
  • Conduct physical examinations and order laboratory studies as needed
  • Prescribe and manage FDA-approved appetite suppressants according to state and federal guidelines
  • Manage patient care and document progress in the patient chart or EMR system
  • Provide training to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed

Requirements:

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure
  • DEA certification
  • 1 year of experience in nutrition or a related field

Estimated Salary: $42,000 - $60,000 per year
