Job Summary:

The Lead Environmental Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Environmental Services team in the absence of the supervisor. This role is crucial in ensuring that the hospital environment remains pristine and secure. The individual will exemplify the mission, vision, and values of CommonSpirit Health through professional and courteous interactions with patients, healthcare providers, visitors, and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties associated with Environmental Services Technician roles, ensuring adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Implement infection control and prevention protocols in all cleaning activities.
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of team activities, including shift changes and task assignments.
  • Engage in various cleaning tasks such as floor maintenance, dusting, bed making, waste disposal, and window cleaning.
  • Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for use.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities by motivating and guiding team members while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive information encountered during the performance of duties.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
