Job Summary:
The Lead Environmental Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Environmental Services team in the absence of the supervisor. This role is vital in maintaining a clean and safe environment within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide the work of Environmental Services staff.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Perform cleaning duties including:
- Floor maintenance
- Dusting and sanitizing surfaces
- Patient room upkeep
- Manage supply inventory and ensure proper stock levels.
- Coordinate shift changes and assign tasks to team members.
- Utilize various cleaning equipment and products effectively.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to others.
