Job Summary

The Production Helper plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Multistage Operator and Second Operator with utilizing the multi-stage presses, ensuring product quality and meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Press Operations: Take direction from and assist Multistage Operator and Second Operator with all duties related to operation of press.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Responsible for cleanliness of press and other areas as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Waste Management: Empty rag cans, solid and liquid hazardous containers, and empty used blades.
  • Labeling and Packaging: Label Hazardous waste cans properly and take out turns for every roll during production run, label and package as required.
  • Supply Management: Stack pallets and presses with needed supplies.
  • Job Setup and Breakdown: Assist with set-up and breakdown of job.
  • Training and Development: Learn solvent dispense system and SAP process.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Able to work Overtime hours and off shifts as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma / GED.
  • Technical Skills: General Mechanical Knowledge and Basic Computer Skills (i.e. Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Color Vision: Farnsworth-Munsell color test score of Average Discrimination or above.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to all levels of management.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, and to compute rate, ratio and percent and to create and interpret bar charts/graphs.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: 2-year technical degree.
  • Technical Skills: Previous Printing Experience.
Work Environment and Environmental Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Must be medically qualified to use respiratory protection for wash ups.
  • Environmental Conditions: Frequently positions self to use/maintain personal protective equipment, comfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc.
