Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will take charge of the monthly reconciliation of the General Ledger, ensuring precision and addressing any inconsistencies. This role also involves supporting payroll processing and preparing month-end financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare month-end journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions.
  • Oversee and maintain various account schedules, including fixed assets, depreciation, prepayments, leases, and accruals.
  • Manage payroll tax accounts, ensuring compliance with state regulations and timely filing of returns.
  • Assist in implementing and utilizing Unanet for tracking and optimizing financial processes.
  • Support the preparation of customer billing documents, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
  • Facilitate accounts reconciliation and maintain precise cash balances.
  • Assist in payroll preparation, ensuring accurate data entry and timely corrections to timesheets.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to coordinate month-end activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with the Unanet ERP system is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with federal projects, or five (5) years of combined experience and education.
  • Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
