Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Financial Operations is tasked with overseeing a team of financial systems analysts dedicated to enhancing the financial reporting capabilities of AmTrust Financial Services through the utilization of Oracle cloud applications. This role necessitates collaboration across various finance systems and leadership teams, including Finance Transformation, Financial Reporting, and FP&A, to ensure optimal application of Oracle Financial Consolidation and Cloud Service (FCCS) alongside other Oracle EPM products such as EPBCS, ARCS, and EDMCS. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization that is evolving its financial platforms to support global operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a skilled team responsible for the administration, monitoring, and configuration of Oracle FCCS and EPBCS to fulfill the needs of the Financial Reporting and FP&A departments.
  • Conduct thorough analyses to guarantee data completeness throughout the closing cycle, collaborating with other departments to resolve any data integrity issues.
  • Assist the corporate accounting team with closing activities, including managing the close calendar and ensuring all tasks are scheduled according to corporate priorities.
  • Ensure financial systems and processes comply with the company's internal control framework, driving the design and execution of necessary controls.
  • Work closely with the FP&A and actuarial teams to leverage EPBCS for budgeting, forecasting, and analytics.
  • Manage various projects and initiatives focused on process improvement and transformation as they arise.
  • Supervise staff by establishing individual and team objectives, emphasizing development and mentorship to enhance knowledge of accounting practices.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, including hands-on experience with Oracle EPM and Oracle Cloud ERP.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams within a large-scale organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating collaboration with employees at all levels and third parties to enhance performance through process improvements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the insurance industry is advantageous.
