Position Overview
We are in search of a meticulous and forward-thinking FP&A Analyst to enhance our finance division. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with FP&A leadership, delivering valuable financial insights that support strategic decision-making. This role is crucial for refining and enhancing budgeting and forecasting systems while evaluating the integration of AI technologies within our FP&A operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis
Continuously enhance financial models that support quarterly management reporting.
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results against budget and previous years.
Assist in formulating annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Facilitate the implementation of budgeting and forecasting system solutions across global FP&A.
Engage in the deployment of AI-driven solutions within the FP&A department.
Reporting and Insights
Generate regular financial reports for senior management.
Assist in preparing presentations for external stakeholders, including rating agencies and the Board of Directors.
Conduct various ad-hoc analyses for management as needed.
Business Collaboration
Work in tandem with other FP&A teams to ensure timely quarterly reporting outcomes.
Foster strong relationships with Controllers to promote effective team collaboration.
Partner with various departments to address financial requirements and challenges.
Budgeting and Forecasting System Implementation
Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure smooth integration of new systems.
Develop and document processes for utilizing the new system, including staff training and user guide creation.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to guarantee accurate and efficient financial planning processes.
AI Integration and Innovation
Evaluate the potential advantages of incorporating AI technologies into FP&A processes.
Work alongside IT and data science teams to explore and implement AI tools to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
Assess and monitor the effectiveness of AI solutions, recommending improvements as necessary.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are advantageous.
Experience
5-7 years of professional experience in FP&A.
Familiarity with GAAP and statutory accounting.
Strong knowledge of General Insurance, including experience analyzing the full Income Statement of an insurance company.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with modern business intelligence tools (Power Query, Power Pivot, PowerBI) as well as experience with PowerPoint.
Experience with system implementation (Oracle, SAP) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $110K - $135K per year. This range is applicable for positions based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Base pay may vary based on education, experience, skills, geographic location, and other factors.
