Job Title: Support Educator - Independence Facilitator - 7 Hours a Day

Job Summary:

As a Support Educator - Independence Facilitator - 7 Hours a Day, you will provide individualized support to students in a classroom setting, assisting them to enhance their learning experience. You will work closely with teachers to provide instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms, lunchrooms, and play fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized behavior intervention and medical support to students in a classroom setting.
  • Assist students or small groups to enhance their learning experience.
  • Work closely with teachers to provide instruction and classroom management.
  • Assist with tasks related to special education and general education classrooms, lunchrooms, and play fields.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Compliance with District skill/competency requirements.
  • A valid First Aid/CPR card may be required.
