The Opportunity

  • We're seeking a skilled Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. As a dedicated member of our auto insurance claims resolution team, you'll be responsible for adjusting complex claims, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and determine coverage and liability for complex auto claims, including comprehensive, collision, and property damage liability claims.
  • Negotiate liability for comparative negligence and uninsured motorist property damage claims.
  • Identify coverage concerns, review prior loss history, and create Special Investigation Unit referrals when necessary.
  • Interact with multiple parties to gather information, determine liability, and analyze data to establish compliance with regulatory requirements and settlement value.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of customer service experience, with 1 year of handling low to moderately complex auto non-injury liability claims.
  • Experience determining auto liability coverage and proficient knowledge of the auto claims contract, case law, and state laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Active Adjuster's License.
  • 1-2 years recent multi-vehicle claims liability experience.
  • Guidewire Claims Center experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

USAA offers an effective compensation package based on market data, with a salary range of $53,440 - $90,180.
