Respiratory Therapist Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to manage patient care
  • Evaluate, suggest, and implement therapeutic interventions
  • Collect and record diagnostic information accurately
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families

Required Qualifications:

Educational Background: Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution

Professional Experience: At least 12 months of recent experience in an acute care environment

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Valid RRT or CRT licensure
  • Current BLS and NRP certification to be obtained within six months of employment

Additional Notes:

  • All new hires must successfully complete a drug screening
