Job Summary

PennWest is seeking a seasoned financial executive to serve as Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer. This key leadership position plays a critical role in supporting the University's strategic vision and executing its financial management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the offices of Fiscal Affairs, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, and Administration, ensuring effective management and coordination of financial and administrative functions.
  • Collaborate with the President's Cabinet to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the University's strategic plan.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial management.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to senior division managers, promoting efficient operation of the Finance and Administration Division.
  • Manage and oversee financial and administrative functions, including accounting, budgeting, compliance, financial reporting, and risk management.
  • Develop and implement effective financial and administrative systems, policies, and procedures to support the University's operations.
  • Collaborate with the Student Accounts and Financial Aid Office to ensure efficient management of student financial services.
  • Oversee the management of the University's physical plant, including building and grounds maintenance, utility services, and facilities financing.
  • Develop and implement capital funding requests and manage the University's deferred maintenance plan.
  • Provide leadership in the evaluation and implementation of the University's long-range Campus Master Plan.
  • Oversight and direction of the University's HR Office and Information Technology Services department.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • At least ten years of progressive management experience in financial and administrative affairs within a complex public, nonprofit, or private university environment or other complex organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience administratively supervising Facilities, Human Resources, and Information Technology Service areas.
Work Environment

This position requires travel to other PennWest campuses and involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
