Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Barbour Orthopaedics. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient interactions and efficient appointment management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing timely and accurate information regarding appointments, treatment plans, and other needs.
  • Appointment Management: Oversee the scheduling and rescheduling of patient appointments, ensuring efficient and timely completion.
  • Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls with patients to confirm appointments, check on their status, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, appointments, and treatment progress within our patient management system.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure effective execution of patient treatment plans and address any patient-specific requirements.
  • Issue Resolution: Promptly address and resolve any patient issues or concerns, ensuring high patient satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure all patient interactions comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Metrics Reporting: Provide weekly metrics on patient interactions, appointment status, and any issues encountered to the Practice Manager.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a medical or customer service role is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and familiar with patient management systems.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and handling appointments.
  • Bilingual: Preferred but not required.
