Forensic Expert Wanted for Structural Investigations

At Metric Geo, we are seeking a seasoned forensic engineer to lead investigations of commercial and residential structures. This role requires expertise in assessing damages due to catastrophes and providing expert opinions to support or refute claims.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site investigations to assess damages due to catastrophes such as storm damage, hurricanes, and floods
  • Prepare reports that clearly portray cause and origin of failure, extent of loss, and recommended solutions
  • Provide expert opinions and analysis to support or refute claims
  • Act as an expert witness in legal proceedings, providing testimony based on your findings and analysis
  • Support and mentor other engineering staff when required

Requirements:

  • Professional Engineer in Louisiana (PE)
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years structural engineering experience
  • 3+ years forensics experience
  • Strong analytical and field inspection skills
  • Deposition and Expert Testimony experience
  • Experience with storm damage
