Location: Fayetteville or Little Rock area, Arkansas, Tulsa or Oklahoma City area, Oklahoma, Joplin or Springfield areas, Missouri, Memphis area, Tennessee

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift: 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week

Job Description:

Staffing Ninja is seeking a highly skilled Structural Forensics Investigator - Civil Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting forensic investigations of commercial, institutional, high-rise, and residential buildings.

You will work closely with our clients to determine the cause of structural failures, construction defects, water/moisture intrusion, roof damages, structural collapses, foundation/settlement, and more.

Additional projects may include storm damage assessments, post-fire damage and structural integrity evaluations, and providing professional opinions and expert witness testimony.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine the cause and origin of structural failures and construction defects.
  • Conduct field inspections to document onsite conditions.
  • Conduct roof damage evaluations for residential and commercial structures.
  • Conduct moisture/water intrusion damage evaluations.
  • Prepare and provide oral and written reports in a timely manner.
  • May be called upon for expert witness testimony.
  • Split duties equally between field work and office tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience, with 5+ years in forensic investigations.
  • P.E. license in the state of application (absolute requirement).
  • Additional P.E. licenses in other states are preferred.
  • NCEES certification is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and written skills are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, residential and commercial construction, and building codes.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
