Position Title: Retail & Showroom Sales Specialist

Company Overview: HGH Hardware Supply is a comprehensive hardware and paint retailer dedicated to exceptional customer service. We are seeking a passionate Retail/Showroom Sales Specialist who will serve as the welcoming face of our establishment.

Location: Nashville, TN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers and guide them to the appropriate sections of the store to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with customers and team members.
  • Represent the branch with professionalism, ensuring courteous interactions with both customers and colleagues.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues both in-person and via phone.
  • Assist customers with order processing and ensure accurate data entry in the point-of-sale system.
  • Utilize sales knowledge to promote additional products during transactions.
  • Handle various payment methods and ensure compliance with cash register procedures.
  • Notify customers when special orders are ready for collection.
  • Safeguard company assets, including cash and inventory, to prevent loss.
  • Promptly manage incoming calls and communications with professionalism.
  • Report any significant issues to the Branch Manager for resolution.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Store Maintenance and Presentation:

  • Ensure the retail environment is safe and efficient for both customers and staff.
  • Implement promotional displays effectively.
  • Keep checkout areas and entrances clean and organized at all times.
  • Assist in stocking merchandise and maintaining an orderly register area.
  • Continuously expand product knowledge to assist customers with inquiries regarding store layout and product locations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in retail sales and customer service.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Eclipse distribution management software.
  • Background in the home improvement sector.
  • Knowledge of cabinetry and hardware for kitchens, baths, and closets.
  • Experience with paint tinting.
