Hospice Care Specialist

As a Hospice Aide, you'll play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, working closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate and personalized care.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Hospice Aide, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
- Assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Helping patients with mobility and transfer needs, using safe techniques and equipment
- Providing basic care and support, including toileting, oral hygiene, and skin care
- Documenting patient observations and care provided
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 18 years of age or older
- Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
- Current certification as a nurse aide and good standing on the state nurse aide registry
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and bear the weight of an average adult effectively
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Demonstrated understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill
