Hospice Counselor

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Counselor to join our team as a Bereavement Support Specialist. As a Bereavement Support Specialist, you will work closely with our Hospice team to provide supportive services to significant others and/or family members of previous Hospice patients.
In this role, you will participate in programs that provide individual and family therapy to clients seeking counseling for grief, traumatic grief issues, and adjustment to serious illness. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to support outstanding patient care and provide exceptional, high-quality services to our clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required, with a minimum of two years of post-Master's professional experience in Social Work or Counseling.
- Prior relevant experience providing grief counseling and/or bereavement services in a hospice setting is preferred.
- You must possess the ability to demonstrate clinical judgment and decision-making based on knowledge of social work or counseling practices, techniques, and ethics.
- A valid, unencumbered Clinical Social Work licensure (MO-LCSW and KS-LSCSW) in Kansas and Missouri is required, or may be substituted with Clinical Counseling licensure (LPC) in Kansas and Missouri.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required, and a working knowledge of Google Suite is preferred.

We are proud to offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $65,000 - $75,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. This salary is based on national averages and may vary depending on the location and the specific requirements of the position.
