Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Engineering Development Program as an Operations and Process Improvement Intern. This internship will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience in the operations and processes of our businesses, as well as exposure to various business units within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in the day-to-day operation of a Bunge facility, including developing a thorough understanding of plant operations and demonstrating a high level of understanding through verbal or written inquiries from supervisors, mentors, or program managers.
  • Travel to other Bunge locations for training and exposure purposes, and assist location and corporate staff in evaluating changing operational conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with Bunge internal and external customers, and develop strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, and contribute to the development of a solid foundation in all aspects of operational processes.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university, with a strong preference for Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Agricultural Engineering, or Milling Science.
  • Must be collaborative, results-oriented, and possess strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and constant change.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in standard PC applications.
  • Ability to travel, with a standard internship schedule of 8 AM to 5 PM, subject to modification as required by assignment and/or location.
