Job SummarySummary: Directly oversees food-service staff in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Trains staff; plans, assigns, and directs work; evaluates performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves issues.
- Informs management of purchasing needs with an emphasis on minimizing waste and preventing product shortages.
- Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
- Operates and cleans equipment according to departmental procedures after each use.
- Stores, labels, and dates food items in compliance with policy; maintains established food rotations in storage to minimize spoilage and waste.
- Adheres to HACCP guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of food supplies.
- Operates food-service equipment safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assists in serving meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to gather customer feedback and comments.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
