We Are Seeking a Protein and Enzyme Production Scientist at Enzo Biochem Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

This position encompasses a variety of tasks associated with the production of protein and enzyme products. You will manage all phases of product release, ensuring compliance with approved materials, validation processes, and release standards. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in advancing the Protein Chemistry sector and oversee its daily functions. Accurate documentation of concepts and procedures is essential, including the creation of new protocols as required by the company's Quality Management System, adhering to industry standards.

Core Activities:

  • Characterizing proteins through immunoassays and enzyme activity evaluations.
  • Assessing protein and antibody quality via diverse assays.
  • Executing Western blotting for the analysis of proteins and antibodies.
  • Measuring protein concentration using various methodologies.
  • Independently organizing and executing manufacturing processes for finished reagents and in-process materials, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Assisting in the development, refinement, and scaling of protein and enzyme products to meet client specifications.
  • Collaborating with team members to guarantee precise documentation, material sourcing, and quality assessments.
  • Recording methods and procedures for the manufacturing and testing of diagnostic products.
  • Conducting stability assessments to ascertain product shelf-life.
  • Identifying and addressing challenges to improve product performance and process efficiency.
  • Engaging in Quality System initiatives and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

About You:

Education: MS or PhD (3+ years) in a relevant scientific discipline

Experience: Comprehensive technical expertise in protein and enzyme purification, antibody production, and experimental design

Skills: Excellent documentation and organizational abilities, capacity to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team setting

Estimated salary range for this position: $75,000-85,000.
