Job Description
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing patient care duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice in the urgent care setting. This will include providing patient care services in the back office urgent care setting, meeting the specific needs of each patient. You will also be expected to ensure excellent customer service and treat all patients with respect and dignity.

Responsibilities

* Ensure excellent customer service and treat all patients with respect and dignity.
* Perform patient care duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice in the urgent care setting.

Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved Medical Assistant Training Program.* Certification is preferred but not required. Successful passage of the medical assistant examination administered by a certifying organization accredited by either the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute is accepted.
* Or completion of an unapproved medical assistant training program AND certification is required. Employment as a medical assistant for one year or more after program completion OR direct supervision by three physician(s) or nurse practitioner(s) for a minimum of 2000 hours total is also acceptable.
