Detroit Medical Center is in search of a dedicated Lead Pediatric Imaging Technologist.

Position Overview

The Lead Pediatric Imaging Technologist plays a crucial role in the delivery of pediatric radiology services, ensuring high-quality imaging for our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a lead or resource individual for staff engaged in radiologic procedures.
  • Perform radiologic technologist duties as necessary, adhering to established protocols.
  • Coordinate workflow, delegate tasks, and supervise staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor and assess the quality and quantity of work completed by the team.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide input for performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in the implementation of performance improvement initiatives.
  • Manage scheduling and timekeeping for radiologic technologists.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required by the department.
  • Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Qualifications
  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
  • Completion of American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) training is required.
  • A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in radiologic technology is essential.
