Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

At OPENLANE, we are committed to making dreams come true for independent car dealers. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in fueling the entrepreneurial spirit in our community.

Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative will perform customer service and corporate level sales support for AFC branches, Area Sales Managers, and Marketing. This role requires a self-starter who strives to meet or exceed sales and production goals while supporting AFC's profitable growth and revenue objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper follow-through on all directives from BDC management and maintain a good rapport with BDC department employees.
  • Perform inbound and outbound activities, including up-selling customers, lead qualification, utilization campaigns, and lead management.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous attention to customers.
  • Monitor individual production and performance metrics to ensure that goals are met.
  • Develop strong solution selling skills to directly impact the floorplan and revenue goals for AFC.
  • Identify sales and up-sell opportunities and offer AFC/OPENLANE solutions to prospects and AFC customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of and comply with AFC's company policies and procedures.
  • Report customer, industry, or market trends to BDC management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required; College degree a plus.
  • Minimum of one to two years of Inside Sales and/or Customer Service experience.
  • Automotive related industry experience a plus but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, CRM, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as the ability to use the Internet for research purposes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills required.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up abilities are required.
