Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Fenway Health, you will deliver empathetic, evidence-based, and effective healthcare to individuals, families, and communities. The RN's approach aligns with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing standards, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics. Your professional responsibilities will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Core Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and specialists to enhance patient outcomes through a comprehensive, patient-focused care plan.
  • Deliver competent and compassionate nursing care grounded in clinical reasoning and scientific principles.
  • Conduct assessments and triage via virtual, telephonic, or in-person methods to evaluate patient health concerns.
  • Implement and monitor the patient-centered care plan, ensuring effective communication with the care team.
  • Facilitate the appropriate use of healthcare resources and encourage patient participation in wellness initiatives.
  • Document patient information accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Promote a supportive and therapeutic environment that respects the individuality of patients and caregivers.
  • Engage in daily operational activities to maintain a safe and efficient patient care environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree in nursing.
  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in diverse healthcare settings.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Two years of experience in ambulatory or public health nursing.
  • Board Certification (ACRN, AMB-BC, etc.).
Working Conditions

This role involves exposure to blood and body fluids, with physical requirements including the ability to lift and move patients as necessary. A standard work week of 37.5 hours is expected, with occasional extended shifts.
