Important Note: Candidates must be available to work through the holiday season and be flexible with scheduling, including working 2 out of 3 winter holidays. The role requires adaptability to float between various departments, including Psych ED and Pedi ED (with experience in pediatrics preferred for patients aged 15 and older).
Experience Requirements: A minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience in a Level I or II Emergency Department or 2+ years in a Level 3/4 Emergency Department is required. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks, passing a Telemetry Test on the first day with a score of 85% or higher.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with EPIC, previous travel assignments, and critical care experience are advantageous.
Required Certifications: Active and unexpired certifications in TNCC, BLS, and ACLS are mandatory.
Patient Care Ratio: The typical patient load is 1:4-5, depending on patient acuity.
Department Overview: The Emergency Department is highly active, accommodating up to 120 treatment areas and serving numerous patients daily. Please note that travelers will not be assigned to trauma rooms during their tenure.
Compensation: The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be confirmed.
