Position Overview:
This role offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus and involves providing essential nursing support for respite patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, and overall patient care, along with educating patients on medication and general health information.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week; night shift; 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holiday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to assigned patients, ensuring all needs are met in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as Department of Health regulations.
- Conduct accurate assessments and documentation, reporting to relevant personnel as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments skillfully and document in compliance with policy.
- Monitor and report any adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.
- Participate in New Patients Rounds, Team Rounds, and other relevant meetings.
- Facilitate effective communication during shift changes, including checking narcotics and related supplies.
- Assign tasks to Respite Aides and provide verbal reports on patient needs.
- Uphold confidentiality and professional standards in all interactions.
- Ensure clinical records for each patient are current and accurate.
- Must be a licensed RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification required.
- Experience with underserved populations is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual candidates in Spanish and English are encouraged to apply.
- Strong medical assessment skills are essential.
