Job Overview

Position Summary: This position is designed to bolster the Agency Services team at OIA by assisting independent agencies in obtaining essential insurance coverage for their operations. Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct outbound outreach to E&O prospects in the designated regions.
  • Generate new business for Agency Services offerings through phone communications, email outreach, collaboration with marketing teams on campaigns, and participation in OIA events to promote services.
  • Follow up on new business leads, verify submission details with agents, liaise with carriers for quotes, present quotes to clients, and ensure proper issuance of policies.
  • Cross-sell additional insurance products to enhance client accounts.
  • Acquire knowledge of and adhere to all policies and procedures related to E&O, cyber liability, EPLI, Umbrella, and other agency coverages.
  • Foster and strengthen relationships between OIA, clients, agents, and insurance carriers.
  • Perform any other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Comprehensive understanding of risk management, insurance principles, professional liability, business management, finance, etc. A bachelor's degree, along with two years of relevant sales experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Additional Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend general business articles and professional publications.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for presentations to groups of clients or colleagues.
  • Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Capability to apply mathematical concepts to real-world scenarios.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including data collection and analysis.
  • Aptitude for interpreting complex technical instructions and managing various abstract and concrete variables.
