About the Job Correctional Deputy I Specialist

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Correctional Deputy I Specialist to join our team at Vets Hired.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive compensation package, including an estimated annual salary of $85,452.28, plus a $25,000 signing bonus. Job Description and Requirements

In this role, you will receive thorough training and close oversight, working under the mentorship of experienced Deputies. The job involves exposure to various correctional functions, including inmate booking, general population security, protective custody, medical withdrawal, and mental health units.

Work Schedule and Responsibilities

Your 24/7 responsibility as a Correctional Deputy includes supervising inmates, with work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, including weekends and holidays. New Deputies are required to have flexibility to work all shifts, including days, swings, and graves. Overtime is a requirement for this position, but with experience and seniority, opportunities to select different work shifts and/or specialty assignments become available.
