EMT Training Program Overview
At MEMS, we offer a comprehensive EMT-Basic certification course designed to equip aspiring emergency medical technicians with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this rewarding career. Our 9-week, full-time in-house training program is tailored to provide students with a solid foundation in emergency medical procedures, patient assessment, and treatment.
Program Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Arkansas driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Minimum age of 19
- Must be physically fit and able to pass a physical examination
- Must have acceptable scores on the college placement Accuplacer exam, which is offered onsite at MEMS at no cost
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass a criminal background check
