Job Title: NASA Systems Integrator

MRI Technologies, a woman-owned Technologies and Engineering Services company, has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integrator on the JETS II Contract at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integrator to join our team at NASA Johnson Space Center. As a Systems Integrator, you will be responsible for understanding complex systems, particularly interfaces and interdependencies, and applying model-based systems engineering best practices to develop models of systems. You will also be experienced in developing interface control documents, software development, and architectures, as well as autonomous systems.

Responsibilities
  • Understand complex systems, particularly interfaces and interdependencies
  • Apply model-based systems engineering best practices to develop models of systems
  • Develop interface control documents
  • Experience in software development and architectures
  • Experience with autonomous systems
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Experience with software verification and validation processes
  • Experience with complex distributed systems
  • Experience with developing software using C/C++ in a Linux environment
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS NG
  • Experience with web-based collaboration tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with tools such as Confluence, Gitlab, JIRA, MS Teams, Slack, Sharepoint
  • Strong evidence of success in highly collaborative projects/environments
  • Ability to succeed in fast-paced environments
  • Must be flexible, open to new challenges in a dynamic environment
  • Possess strong technical expertise combined with verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision
  • Must be a highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic
  • Excellent communicator, particularly written communication and visual diagram creation
  • Scripting languages such as Python
  • Agile software development
  • NASA software and systems development standards
  • NASA Gateway Spacecraft systems and software including the Core Flight System (CFS) software infrastructure

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which this position has been advertised.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

Other Essential Functions

Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.


As we are a Federal Contractor, most positions require the employee to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government background investigation. MRI also completes a pre-screening background check for anyone offered employment.
