Clinical Faculty Position

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Faculty member to join our team at Kansas Health Science Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a medical curriculum for obstetrics and women's health and clinical sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a pre-clinical and clinical curriculum in obstetrics and women's health
Present common obstetrical and women's health presentations to MS I and MS II students
Participate in small group discussions regarding common obstetrical and women's health presentations to MS I and MS II students
Develop syllabus for clinical rotation in obstetrics and women's health
Collaborate with the clinical skills education team to develop and facilitate osteopathic clinical skills courses in obstetrics and women's health
Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist with interviewing and hiring of department faculty as requested
Participate in the peer evaluation of department faculty
Collaborate with Assistant Dean of Outcomes & Assessment on all evaluation of all courses, laboratory, service and scholarly activities
Assist in credentialling OB/GYN clinical faculty
Service Responsibilities:
Participate in student interviewing, mentorship, and career counseling
Foster a positive culture amongst the students, faculty, and KHSU-KansasCOM staff
Serve on selected committees at the discretion of the Dean
Qualifications:
A clinician educator with a track record of proven effective academic and administrative experience in Medical education. Required qualifications include a DO or MD degree with appropriate experience, current, unrestricted medical license, current Board Certification in specialty, and good standing with all regulatory and governmental boards and agencies.

Leadership abilities in influencing and shaping performance, strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to contribute to organizational growth and development, strong knowledge base in medical education assessment, strong team & people management skills, familiarity with AOA COCA requirements, strong, effective, and diplomatic oral and written communication skills, excellent public speaking skills, and excellent service skills relevant to supervisor, peers, direct reports, medical students, and faculty.
