Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team at Genie Healthcare. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and assisting in various medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any deviations from normal, utilizing critical thinking skills to identify potential issues.
  • Assist in medical imaging procedures and specimen collection processing, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, prioritizing individualized care and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and post-discharge care, utilizing clear and concise communication skills.
  • Perform IV insertions and assist in emergency medicine situations, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care coordination, ensuring a seamless transition for patients.
  • Utilize Cerner or similar electronic health record systems for documentation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
  • Current LPN license in the state of practice, with a strong commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Experience working in a clinic or Level I Trauma Center, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Proficiency in IV insertion, specimen collection processing, and spinal tap procedures, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices, with a commitment to staying current with industry developments.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures, with a growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning.
