Key Responsibilities

  • Order laboratory and radiology tests as needed, and refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
  • Analyze patient reports, test results, and medical records to diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment regimens to treat identified medical conditions.
  • Provide patients with clear explanations of their treatment options and potential side effects.
  • Offer advice on lifestyle and diet changes to improve patient health and well-being.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, as well as quality improvement and safety standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with federal and state health information privacy laws.
  • Record complete, timely, and legible medical records.
Requirements
  • Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.
  • Experience prescribing medications, treatments, and health regimens to treat patient health issues.
  • Experience collaborating with specialists to diagnose patient health conditions.
  • Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals to ensure positive patient experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Board certification in primary care or a related field.
  • Current medical licensure and DEA registration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting.
  • Board certification in internal medicine or family practice.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs).
