Job Summary:

The Mechanical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the hotel maintains the guest appeal of the property. This role is the journeyman level for engineering positions responsible for implementing projects requiring intensive and diversified engineering principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor operating equipment and systems (boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors, water heaters, cooling towers, etc.)
  • Perform engineering rounds and check equipment for proper operating functionality
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments
  • Identify and resolve maintenance deficiencies
  • Maintain and store tools and equipment
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance duties on buildings
  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members

Work Environment:

The work environment is characterized as an indoor/outdoor maintenance of facilities and hotel property. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but in Machine rooms and Plant requires hearing protection. The immediate work environment is smoke free; however a smoking environment does exist in the building.
