Position Overview:

Advanced Practice Provider in Behavioral Health

Our mental health facility offers various programs designed to support youth, including:

• Acute inpatient care for all genders aged 4-18

• CHOICES residential program for males aged 10-18

• Specialized residential services for males aged 6-21 with intellectual developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders

• Family-based mental health services for all genders aged 3-18

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide treatment for acute, chronic, or episodic health issues, either independently or as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized Master Treatment Plans for patients.
  • Evaluate both physical and mental health needs of patients and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Document clinical observations, evaluations, and treatment plans in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Engage families in the treatment process and address their educational needs regarding patient care.
  • Adhere to legal standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements in all aspects of care.
  • Provide services in compliance with state regulations governing Nurse Practitioners.
  • Participate in on-call duties as scheduled by the medical staff.
  • Focus on health promotion and disease prevention, including the ability to order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and prioritize patient safety in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Nurse Practitioner studies.
  • Clinical experience with the specific patient population served by the facility.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Must hold a valid nursing license in the state of practice.
  • Possession of a DEA license is necessary.
