Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with working hours from 7 AM to 1 PM. We offer a competitive compensation package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions, either independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including health histories and physical examinations, while ensuring proper documentation.
  • Collaborate in developing individualized Master Treatment Plans for patients.
  • Assess both physical and mental health needs, implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Document clinical findings and treatment plans in compliance with facility protocols.
  • Engage with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Deliver services in accordance with state regulations for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Participate in on-call duties as scheduled by the medical team.
  • Focus on health promotion and disease prevention, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor towards patients, addressing any concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Clinical experience with the specific patient demographic of the facility is essential.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience in correctional healthcare settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Valid nursing license to practice in the relevant state.
  • Current DEA registration.
