Position Overview – Senior Tax Executive:

Atlantic Group is in search of a seasoned Senior Tax Executive to join their private equity organization. This hybrid position entails overseeing tax-related functions, ensuring adherence to regulations, and enhancing tax strategies. The Senior Tax Executive will work closely with top management, investment teams, and external consultants to promote tax efficiency and minimize risks, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tax Strategy Development: Formulate and implement tax strategies; identify opportunities for tax savings; stay informed on changes in tax legislation.
  2. Compliance Oversight: Manage federal, state, and international tax submissions; guarantee precise and timely preparation of tax returns; liaise with external consultants.
  3. Risk Assessment: Evaluate and mitigate tax-related risks; establish controls; remain current on best practices and emerging tax challenges.
  4. Financial Collaboration: Partner with finance teams to understand tax implications; analyze tax provisions and effective tax rates; provide insights for investment evaluations.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with portfolio companies on tax issues; cultivate relationships with tax authorities and advisors; represent the organization in tax-related discussions.
  6. Fund Structuring Participation: Engage in tax-efficient fund structuring and capital raising initiatives; communicate tax advantages to investors.
  7. Process Optimization: Enhance tax processes and workflows; improve tax technology applications; boost overall operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (advanced degree is advantageous).
  2. Professional Certification: CPA or equivalent certification.
  3. Professional Experience: Over 10 years in tax, particularly within private equity or investment management; proficiency in partnership taxation, international tax, and fund structures.
  4. Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical and communication abilities; leadership and team management skills; adeptness in tax software and financial modeling.
