Atlantic Group is in search of a seasoned Senior Tax Executive to lead tax operations for a prestigious private equity firm. The Senior Tax Executive will work closely with executive leadership, investment teams, and external consultants to promote tax efficiency and minimize risks, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Location: Hybrid Work Environment

Compensation: Competitive salary with performance bonuses

Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday (with flexibility for remote work)

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Executive:

  1. Tax Strategy Development: Formulate and implement tax strategies; identify opportunities for tax savings; stay informed on changes in tax legislation.
  2. Tax Compliance Oversight: Manage federal, state, and international tax submissions; ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns; liaise with external advisors.
  3. Risk Assessment: Evaluate and mitigate tax-related risks; establish controls; remain updated on industry best practices and emerging tax challenges.
  4. Financial Analysis: Collaborate with finance departments regarding tax implications; assess tax provisions and effective tax rates; provide insights for investment-related decisions.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with portfolio companies on tax issues; cultivate relationships with tax authorities and advisors; represent the firm in tax-related discussions.
  6. Fund Structuring Participation: Engage in tax-efficient fund structuring and capital raising initiatives; communicate tax advantages to stakeholders.
  7. Process Optimization: Enhance tax processes and workflows; leverage tax technology solutions; improve overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications for the Senior Tax Executive:

  1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (advanced degree is a plus).
  2. Professional Certification: CPA or equivalent certification.
  3. Professional Experience: Over 10 years in tax roles, particularly within private equity or investment management; in-depth knowledge of partnership taxation, international tax, and fund structures.
  4. Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical and communication abilities; strong leadership and team management skills; proficiency in tax software and financial modeling.
