Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Genesys in Grand Blanc, MI. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic radiographs and images, performing diagnostic procedures according to established standards and radiation safety practices, and working directly with patients, radiologists, physicians, and fellow associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Perform diagnostic procedures according to established standards and radiation safety practices
  • Work directly with patients, radiologists, physicians, and fellow associates to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis
  • Follow established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Genesys Regional Medical Center
  • Deliver quality patient care, including the use of universal precautions, sterile technique, and maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Represent the hospital in a positive manner both in and outside the work area
  • Ensure proper patient identification and documentation of radiographs
  • Maintain adequate patient radiation protection and report equipment malfunctions to management or service representatives
Requirements
  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date required
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date required
  • Must possess equivalent of a high school diploma and completed an accredited 2-year radiology program
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to be mobile and have normal manual dexterity, as well as the ability to assist, move, transfer, and lift patients. The work setting is hospital-wide, and the individual will be exposed to patient illnesses and communicable diseases.
