Job Summary

Overview:

Tucson Physician Group Holdings is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Triage: Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs and treatment plans, taking vital signs, blood pressure, patient history, medication listings, and determining chief complaints.
  • Medical Support: Assist physicians with medical treatments, exams, and procedures, preparing equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Lab and Testing: Perform tests as directed by physicians, drawing lab specimens and preparing them for lab transport.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed oral medications and give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with education and instructions on their treatment plans and medications.
  • Emergency Response: Triage patients to determine which are emergencies and provide immediate support if necessary, notifying providers of medical emergencies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including charting and reporting.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care, communicating effectively with patients, families, and providers.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma/GED and completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Certification: Current State RN nursing license and current CPR certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience working in a physician office.
