Lead Therapist for Speech and Language Services

As a Therapist Speech and Language Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and families in Metro Nashville Public Schools. You will be responsible for supporting speech-language pathologists (SLPs) assigned to every school in providing prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluency.
Key Responsibilities- Support district SLPs with training and technical assistance on all required procedural documentation for students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, exceptional education teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, school counselors, building administrators, coaches, discipline leads, etc. in the management of speech-language disorders as they relate to literacy, communication skills, and their impact on learning.
- Support district SLPs and/or school-level professionals with analysis and interpretation of information to make recommendations regarding the need and intensity level for speech-language services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech-language pathology and/or exceptional education, with a Master's Degree in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology and a Tennessee Department of Education Teacher's License (Practitioner/Professional School Services Provider).
This role offers an estimated salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
