Job Summary:
United Counseling Services is seeking a skilled IOP Clinician to provide direct services to children and families in a trauma-informed, systems-based, coordinated, cross-sector, family-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant human service field and experience providing counseling services to families and children.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide assessment and counseling to children, families, and/or groups with behavioral, emotional mental health, and/or substance use needs.
2. Facilitate referrals and communication between agencies for other services on behalf of the child.
3. Attend team meetings to plan and monitor services.
4. Provide consultation services to teachers, school personnel, and community partners as needed.
5. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, adhering to all UCS recordkeeping requirements.
Requirements:
Master's degree in a relevant human service field with experience providing counseling services to families and children. Licensure or on-track for licensure in Vermont as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional required. Knowledge of evidence-based models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
