As a Land Surveying Technician, you will engage in a diverse range of projects that require both fieldwork and office responsibilities. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and appreciate the changing seasons.
As a vital member of our survey team, your duties will encompass:
- Traveling to various job sites to collect essential survey data and site information.
- Gathering field survey data to accurately determine the location and measurements of points, elevations, and contours.
- Processing survey data while ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and professional standards.
- Conducting basic surveying calculations, deed research, and map checks.
- Preparing precise survey plats, legal descriptions, and alignment drawings.
- Meeting schedules and productivity targets set by the Survey Crew Chief.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- An Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or Land Surveying is preferred.
- Strong mathematical abilities and proficient technical skills are essential.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and contractors.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working outdoors.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to lift equipment or objects weighing between 50 to 75 pounds.
- Daily tasks will involve extended periods of standing, walking, and using survey equipment.
- Experience with Trimble survey equipment is advantageous.
